Speaking during a recent podcast interview with Chude Jideonwo, Nedu claimed that it is difficult for anyone who is poor to be seen as a role model in the country.

While discussing how money affects people’s values in society, he explained that many individuals now measure respect and influence by financial success, noting that those without wealth are rarely admired or looked up to.

In a clip from the interview posted on his Instagram page, the media personality also alleged that several women living in the Lekki area of Lagos struggle to keep up with the high cost of rent despite residing in the upscale neighborhood.

“You can’t be a role model when you don’t have money in Nigeria. Most women wey dey live for Lekki, na men dey pay their rent.”
