Fans were thrilled by the latest update about Wizkid’s first son, Bolu Balogun, popularly known as Champz, as he continues to make notable progress in music.

Sharing the update on X, Champz’s mother, Shola, revealed that her son has already begun receiving performance bookings ahead of the Christmas season.

She expressed gratitude to those who reached out to book him but disclosed that she declined the offers for now.

According to Shola, the focus at this stage is on nurturing Champz’s growth and development rather than rushing him into live performances.

She added that they are taking a patient and deliberate approach, with optimism about exploring such opportunities at the right time.

Shola also announced plans for Champz to release another track in 2026, urging fans to look forward to more of his creative output in the coming year.

The post sparked mixed reactions online. While some fans suggested Champz might be hesitant to perform and believed stage appearances could help boost his career, others asked if he would join his father on stage at Wizkid’s December show.

Many supporters, however, applauded Shola’s decision, encouraging her to prioritise her son’s education before fully committing to his music career.
