Nigerian comedian and social commentator Deeone has questioned what he described as the ruling All Progressives Congress’ (APC) apparent fear of Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi.
Reacting to ongoing political developments, Deeone said it was surprising that the APC seemed more threatened by Obi than by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, despite Atiku’s long-standing presence in national politics.
According to Deeone, Atiku has previously held the office of vice president, yet does not attract the same level of resistance or scrutiny from the ruling party as Obi. He suggested that this difference points to the influence and growing support base of the former Anambra State governor.
Deeone’s remarks have since sparked conversations online, with supporters and critics offering differing views on the political implications of his comments.
