Popular Nigerian comedian and content creator, Lasisi Elenu, has voiced strong concerns over the state of insecurity in the country, criticising the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In a statement shared online, Lasisi expressed frustration over what he described as the government’s failure to tackle rising criminal activities across the nation.
“Tinubu and his government have failed Nigerians. It is sad that criminality has been allowed to thrive in Nigeria without any consequences,” he said.
The comedian lamented the increasing rate of violence and killings, noting that the situation is particularly troubling given the level of technological advancement available in modern times.
“It is heartbreaking that in a country like Nigeria today, killings are happening across the nation. I find it really sad that in 2026, with all the technology at our disposal, insurgency, insecurity, kidnapping, and banditry are still thriving,” he added.
Calling for accountability, Lasisi questioned the seeming lack of effective action to curb the crisis.
“Make it make sense to me.”
