An elderly woman in Nigeria has gone viral on social media after her only child was reportedly abducted by armed bandits in Kogi State.
The mother’s heartfelt appeal has drawn widespread attention online, sparking conversations about the growing kidnapping incidents in the area.
A video shared on TikTok by @flodacollection shows that the incident took place on Thursday when Binuyo Latifat’s daughter got into a vehicle in Ido. Shortly after, she became unreachable, leading her mother to realize that her daughter had been taken.
Speaking about the moment she discovered the kidnapping, the mother said:
“Please help me, this is my child who has been kidnapped. It happened on Thursday. She got into a car in Ido, and when I called, I was told she had been taken.”
Reports indicate that the kidnappers are demanding a ransom of N30 million for her release.
In the video, the distressed mother added:
“They are asking for 30 million. I beg you, please help me. Don’t let me cry over my child; she is the only one I have.”
The clip has since gone viral, with many social media users urging authorities to take immediate action to rescue the girl.
