A Nigerian media personality identified as Joshua has stirred debate online after revealing the minimum income a woman must earn before he would consider dating her.
Taking to his X handle, @JJExclusive1, Joshua stated that he has a strict financial standard when it comes to relationships.
“I can’t date a girl that doesn’t earn minimum N500k a month…” he wrote.
He clarified that his requirement is not about depending on a partner financially. “…not like I need your money…” he added.
According to Joshua, his preference is based on financial independence. He explained that he wants a partner who earns enough to comfortably take care of her personal needs without relying on him.
His statement has since generated mixed reactions online, with some supporting his stance on financial compatibility, while others criticized it as unrealistic or materialistic.
