Businessman and public commentator Isaac Fayose has shared his opinion on the outcome of Nigeria’s last presidential election, stating that he believes Labour Party candidate Peter Obi won the poll.
Speaking in a recent interview, Fayose said he is convinced Obi emerged victorious but noted that the officially declared results stand until the courts decide otherwise.
“I believe Peter Obi won the last election. It can happen again. It’s not about Obi, it’s about Nigeria. They have declared themselves the winner. So we have to give them a chance and see what they can do while we wait for the court to decide,” he said.
Fayose emphasized that his position goes beyond support for a particular candidate, stressing that the broader issue is Nigeria’s democratic process and the need for credible elections.
