Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has opened up about some of the important life lessons she says she learned through personal mistakes and difficult experiences.
The actress, who recently made headlines following a lawsuit connected to a deliverance session she reportedly held at a school involving a student, shared a reflective message in a video where she spoke about growth, faith, and wisdom.
According to her, many of the mistakes she made in the past came with heavy emotional and personal costs. However, she said those experiences eventually helped shape her into someone who now speaks openly about truth and spiritual awareness.
While sharing one of the seven lessons she has learned, the actress who now often describes herself as an evangelist advised people to be careful about revealing their destiny helpers to others.
She explained that her father often told her to “close your mouth while eating,” a phrase he used to teach her the importance of keeping certain blessings private rather than announcing them to the world.
She further encouraged people not to reveal what they believe God has planned for their lives or to publicly share prophecies they have received. According to her, speaking too openly about such things can sometimes attract jealousy and may even delay the blessings meant for them.
Tonto Dikeh also warned against publicly disclosing one’s financial worth. In her view, people should learn to guard the blessings they receive rather than exposing them for public attention.
Explaining her stance, the actress said that openly displaying blessings can draw envy and negative energy from others. She added that some individuals develop a sense of entitlement toward other people’s success, which can create unnecessary problems.
