Content creator Nwosa David, popularly known as Uncle Nasco, has revealed details surrounding the death of Nollywood actor Odira Nwobu, who passed away while on vacation in South Africa.
The actor’s sudden death has left fans and colleagues across the industry in deep shock.
In a TikTok video, Nwosa David explained that Odira Nwobu had experienced chest pains and high blood pressure while enjoying time with friends during the trip. Despite feeling unwell, he reportedly continued the outing, visiting four different clubs with his companions.
The video, which has gained significant attention online, also claims that after the night out, Odira asked his friends for help with an advertisement. Unfortunately, he was unable to complete the task, lay down, and subsequently passed away.
Odira Nwobu, born on 24 May 1982 in Enugu State, gained recognition in Nollywood through films such as Goat Lover (2011) and became a familiar figure in online skits.
Unverified reports indicate that his manager told BBC Pidgin that Odira had been struggling with high blood pressure. Earlier this year, the actor had also survived a car accident on the Lagos‑Ibadan Expressway.
