A man from Edo State has sparked reactions online after expressing disappointment over the quantity of food items allegedly given to his community by a member of the House of Representatives, Danco Anamero.
In a video circulating on social media, the man showed a small bag containing rice and beans, claiming it was meant to be shared among about 50 people in his community.
While reacting to the items, he questioned the adequacy of the donation and also complained about being asked to pay transportation costs to collect the food.
“A whole House of Rep. member, Mr. Danco Anamero, look at the rice and beans he gave a community of 50 people, and we are to pay ₦3,000 for transport,” he said.
The video has since generated mixed reactions online, with some Nigerians criticising what they described as inadequate palliatives, while others urged caution until more details about the distribution are confirmed.
