Popular entertainer and businessman Cubana Chiefpriest has empowered women in Imo State by distributing 250 boxes of makeup kits valued at ₦40 million.
The initiative, carried out under the City Boy Movement, took place in Owerri on Friday and was aimed at supporting women in entrepreneurship, particularly in the beauty and cosmetics sector.
Speaking at the event, Cubana Chiefpriest emphasised that the gesture was beyond charity, describing it as a pathway to financial independence.
“We are here to empower women. These makeup kits are not just gifts—they are a means for these women to create sustainable businesses, support their families, and achieve financial independence,” he said.
Over 250 women from different communities across the state benefited from the initiative, expressing appreciation for the opportunity to acquire tools that could help grow their businesses.
Many of the beneficiaries said the kits would enable them to generate income and build their brands in the beauty industry.
Highlighting the broader goal of the programme, he added, “This initiative is part of our continuous effort through the City Boy Movement to uplift communities, support women, and create opportunities for economic growth.”
