An elderly man and a younger man were confronted by members of their community in Orlu, Imo State, following the circulation of a video allegedly showing them engaging in homosexual activity.
According to reports, the video captured the elderly man kissing the younger man on the mouth. After the clip surfaced, community members reportedly confronted both individuals over the incident.
During the confrontation, the elderly man was seen denying that anything sexual occurred between them. However, the younger man appeared visibly frightened as he was questioned by several men, some of whom were holding canes and threatening to flog him if he did not tell the truth.
While speaking, the younger man explained how he came into contact with the older man. He said, “I was at work where I’m learning a skill. He called me on the phone and said he wanted to see me.”
He added that he went to the man’s house and claimed it was his first time ever meeting him. According to the young man, the elderly man offered him food, saying, “He gave me rice and yam.”
When questioned about what happened between them, the younger man stated, “He and I did h0mo.”
The men interrogating him asked him to repeat himself, saying, “What did you do with him?”
“We did h0mo,” the young man replied again.
The incident has since generated reactions online after the video of the confrontation surfaced.
