Nigerian socialite and businessman, Cubana Chief Priest, has expressed his concern over the recent deadly attack in Jos, Plateau State.
On Palm Sunday, March 29, 2026, gunmen targeted the Angwan Rukuba community around 7:30 pm, killing 28 people and injuring several others.
In a detailed post on Instagram, Cubana Chief Priest, who has recently been involved in a DNA dispute with his alleged baby mama Helen Attoh, suggested that the attack might have been intended to embarrass President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his birthday.
“I feel for everyone in Jos. This was clearly done to embarrass our president on his birthday,” he wrote.
He also extended his condolences to the victims’ families, called on security agencies to act decisively, and prayed for those who lost their lives in the tragedy.
Meanwhile, Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang has reacted by imposing a 48-hour curfew in Jos North to help restore order and assist security forces in apprehending the attackers.
The state government has also urged residents to remain calm, stay alert, and support security personnel by providing any information that could help bring the perpetrators to justice.
