The body of late Mrs Josephine Esimoneze (Obanma) mother of His Royalty, Jude Esimoneze (Akaekpuchionwa) Obi Ubahu, has been laid to rest in Umuapani Ubahu Okija, Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra state.
The burial which took place on Tuesday, January 11, 2022, amid a clement weather, signifying heavenly approval, was planned by Akpoazaa Group Event Planners and supervised by committee of friends headed by Chief Afunwa Nwadiukwu.
The final journey for the late Obanma began with religious rites at her husbands town, Umuapani Ubahu Okija.
Until her demise, she was a devout Christian of the Roman Catholic Church.
Speaking while paying tribute to his late mother after the interment, His Royalty, Jude Esimoneze (Akaekpuchionwa) described his mother as the secret behind his success in life.
The business mogul and Traditional Head of Ubahu Okija said her mother represented so many things to him and everyone that came around her, adding that she ‘wined and dined’ with everyone until death came knocking.
His words, “The success of my life is gone forever. She is more than wonderful. I have never played with her. She was a woman who ate, accommodated and showed love to anyone that came around her. And also appreciated the event planners, the committee of friends and all who assisted to the success of the burial.
In the same vein, His Royal Majesty, Igwe Okaije of Okija, Igwe Emeka Okezie, described the late Obanma as a rare gem and role model, adding that meeting her is one of the greatest things that could happen to anyone.
“We are proud she had wonderful children who behaved like her, especially His Royalty, Obi Ubahu. The Akaekpuchionwa 1 remains a wonderful gift and humility personified. He is a friend of the youths, who has also impacted many lives”, His Majesty said.
