Social media personality Papaya Ex has continued to trend online following the loss of her phone at a movie premiere hosted by Iyabo Ojo.

The incident, which initially sparked backlash after Papaya Ex attempted to stop and search guests’ bags at the venue, has taken a new turn as she publicly appealed for help in recovering the device.

In posts shared online, Papaya Ex pleaded with whoever might have found the phone not to wipe it, stressing that it contains important personal and work-related documents.

“Please don’t wipe the phone… If you found an iPhone 16 Pro Max Gold, pink phone case at Arinzo’s premiere… please message me… You’ll be rewarded,” she wrote.

She revealed that the phone was misplaced at the event venue, specifically around the front table close to the stage.

“Misplaced at Arinzo movie premiere… front table close to the stage,” she added.

In a more emotional appeal, Papaya Ex disclosed that the device holds years of valuable data, including documents dating back to 2015.

“Don’t wipe my phone please, all my documents from 2015 is there… My projects for the year, please don’t let me start from scratch.”

She further promised a financial reward to anyone who returns the phone, offering as much as ₦700,000.

“I’ll reward whoever sees the phone 700,000 naira… I use Almighty Allah to beg.”

Papaya Ex also urged members of the public not to buy or sell any phone found with her pictures on it, emphasizing her desperation to recover the device intact.

The development has continued to generate mixed reactions online. While some sympathized with her situation, others maintained that attempting to search guests at the event was inappropriate.
