A recent exchange between media personality Seun Okinbaloye and Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun has sparked fresh conversations about the ruling party’s performance and its impact on everyday Nigerians.
During the discussion, Okinbaloye directly challenged the government’s record, asking: “Your party promised Nigerians change years ago, have you been able to meet the yearning of the average Nigerian?”
In response, Governor Abiodun defended the administration’s policies and achievements, insisting that progress has been made. He stated: “How can you say we have not given Nigerians renewed hope? There is indeed renewed hope. Nigerians are no longer queuing to buy fuel. Give us more three more years.”
The governor’s remarks reference recent changes in Nigeria’s fuel supply dynamics, which have reduced the long queues that were once common across the country.
The exchange has since drawn mixed reactions from Nigerians, with some agreeing that certain improvements are visible, while others argue that economic challenges, including inflation and cost of living, continue to weigh heavily on citizens.
