Controversial Nigerian singer Speed Darlington has criticized men who abandon their children after separating from their partners.
In a statement shared online, the singer condemned what he described as irresponsible behaviour by some fathers who fail to support their children financially after sending their mothers away.
“Some men are very irresp0ns!ble. When you want to get married, you go to a girl’s family and marry her because you love her.
She then gives birth to several children for you.
But along the line, one issue or another comes up and you are no longer together.
You send her back to her parents’ house with the children and fail to provide financial support for them.
You should always provide for your children, whether they are boys or girls.
This is one of the major reasons some girls end up in prostitution, all in the name of feeding the very children some men refuse to take care of,” he said.
