MC Gana has criticized Bola Ahmed Tinubu over the state of electricity in the country, questioning calls for his re-election.

In a statement circulating online, MC Gana claimed that the president has failed to deliver on what he described as his primary campaign promise.

“The Only Promise Tinubu Made To Nigerians, He Has Failed To Keep It. He Said, ‘Don’t Vote For Me If I Fail To Give You Electricity.’ So I’m Shocked To See Nigerians Who Are Campaigning For His Reelection When He Has Clearly Broken His One And Only Campaign Promise. He Never Promised To Fix Healthcare, Build Schools, Develop Infrastructure, Solve Insecurity, Or Build Roads. His Promise Was Only About Electricity. Yet Today, Under His Administration, Electricity Is Far Worse Than Ever. To Top It All Off, Tinubu Removed Aso Rock From The National Grid And Replaced It With Solar Power.”

The comment has sparked reactions online, with supporters and critics debating the administration’s performance, particularly in the power sector.
