A video that recently went viral on social media has reignited discussions about the involvement of alleged political thugs in Nigeria’s elections. In the clip, a group of men threatened to pull back their support, citing neglect by politicians.
In the footage, one of the men, clearly frustrated, accused political figures of exploiting them for electoral purposes without providing lasting benefits or rewards.
He angrily stated that they would no longer participate unless their conditions were fulfilled.
“We’re tired of being used by politicians! Tell me, which of them has ever sent us to Mecca or given us a car? If they don’t pay us ₦40 million, we’re walking away for good. Let them use their own children for their dirty work now!” he said.
The video has sparked widespread debate online, with many Nigerians expressing concern over the ongoing role of youths in political manipulation and violent activities.
