A woman has raised alarm over an alleged privacy breach at Oak Park and Garden, claiming that a staff member secretly recorded her and her friend in a changing room.

According to her account, the incident occurred after they had gone swimming at the facility in Port Harcourt. She alleged that while they were undressing in the changing room, they noticed a worker recording them.

Narrating the experience, she said:
“My Course Mate And I Went To Oak Park And Garden In Port Harcourt To Swim. After Swimming, We Went To The Changing Room To Undress, But We Noticed a Particular Worker Sitting There And Secretly Recording Us. We Confronted Her Immediately, Took Her Phone, And Discovered That She Had Sent Our Video To a WhatsApp Contact Named Isaac Bestie. We Raised The Alarm And Questioned Her About Why She Would Do Such A Thing. Shockingly, Some Other Workers Seemed To Support Her, Acting As If This Was Normal Behavior. We Also Found Out That Several Other Visitors’ Private Videos Had Been Sent To The Same Contact.”

The allegation has sparked outrage online, with many calling for an investigation into the incident and improved safety measures to protect visitors’ privacy at recreational centers.
