A Northern Nigerian man has sparked reactions online after sharing a strongly worded message following a recent explosion in Maiduguri, urging citizens to be more intentional in their choices ahead of the 2027 elections.

In a video posted on X, the man criticized the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, particularly over handling of security concerns in the northern region.

Expressing frustration, he said:
“This is a message to all northerners, if you vote APC again, you guys are going to be the most stupid set of individuals I have ever come across in my life. A bomb blast just hit Maiduguri, and the first thing the president did was fly to the UK.”

He also compared the current administration with past governments, stating that previous leaders addressed citizens more directly during times of crisis.

The man further called for caution across regions, adding:
“To my southern brothers, we need to be very careful and deliberate with our choices. And to my Muslim brothers, I advise staying cautious, avoid crowded mosques for now, because these are places that can be targeted.”

The video has since generated mixed reactions online, with some Nigerians supporting his concerns about insecurity, while others criticized his language and political views.
