A cleric, Ephraim Ononye, has called on the Governor of Anambra State, Charles Soludo, to extend investigations to Christian churches following the recent crackdown on native doctors in the state.
In a message shared online, the cleric urged the governor to also scrutinise religious leaders within the Christian community.
His comment comes amid ongoing actions by the Anambra State government targeting alleged criminal activities linked to some traditionalists.
According to Ononye, similar investigations should be carried out within churches, as he believes some pastors may also be involved in wrongdoing.
“Dear Governor Charles Soludo, since you have arrested many native doctors, please also look at Christian churches. You will definitely find some of us and arrest many of us. Some pastors are even more ev!l than native doctors.”
