A Nigerian woman has raised alarm over an ongoing property dispute, calling on activist Omoyele Sowore and social media personality VeryDarkMan to intervene.
In a video circulating online, the woman alleged that the man who originally owned the property sold it in 2017, after which new buyers acquired the building.
According to her, she and others later purchased apartments in the building from the new owners in 2018.
“The man who originally owned this property sold it in 2017. In 2018, we bought an apartment there from the people he sold it to,” she said.
She further claimed that the former owner later returned with the intention of buying back the entire building, but was informed that two flats had already been sold.
However, the woman alleged that the situation escalated when the former owner reportedly re-registered the property at the land office using old documents.
“Now he has come back to buy the whole building, but they told him two flats had already been sold. However, the former owner went to the lands office and registered the property again using the old documents he had,” she said.
The woman appealed for help from activists and authorities, hoping the dispute would be investigated and resolved.
The video has since attracted attention on social media, with many users calling for authorities to look into the allegations.
