Former Premier League and England midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek has suffered a fractured jaw and lost multiple teeth following a heavy collision during a Serie A match.

The 30-year-old was playing for AC Milan when he clashed with Parma goalkeeper Edoardo early in the game. The incident happened just minutes into the encounter as Loftus-Cheek challenged for the ball inside the box.

Medical staff rushed onto the pitch and treated him for several minutes before he was fitted with a neck brace and stretchered off to hospital. Reports later confirmed that he sustained a broken jaw and lost several teeth in the impact.

Despite the setback, Loftus-Cheek shared a positive message on social media, thanking medical personnel, fans, and his teammates for their support. He assured supporters that the worst was behind him and that he would focus on recovery.

Loftus-Cheek was substituted after just 11 minutes, and Milan went on to lose 1-0 after a late goal from Mariano Troilo. He is now expected to spend time on the sidelines as he begins rehabilitation.
