Two Nigerian sisters have stirred emotional reactions online after sharing a video publicly appealing for husbands.
In the clip, the women, identified as Adeze and Amaka, introduced themselves and spoke openly about their struggles to find partners despite years of prayer and fasting. They explained that they decided to make the public appeal because they felt they had exhausted other efforts.
The sisters said they were no longer worried about possible criticism or embarrassment, stressing that their desire to settle down had pushed them to speak out. Adeze revealed she will turn 39 in April, while Amaka said she will be 35 in September.
They also appealed to the public, asking anyone with a brother, uncle, or relative interested in marriage to consider them.
According to them, family pressure has been difficult to cope with, especially as their younger brothers are already married with children. They added that seeing disappointment on their parents’ faces daily has been painful, and they hope to eventually build families of their own and make their parents proud.
In their words; “Nigerians, good morning. My name is Adeze. My name is Amaka. She’s my junior sister. I will be 39 by April 11. I will be 35 by September. We are using this video to beg anybody that will come across this video. We don’t want to talk about the shame anymore. I know a lot of people will condemn us for doing this, but we are tired. We have prayed.
We have fasted. We have done all necessary spiritual work. Still, yes, we are not able to see husband. Our parents are disappointed. Our younger brothers, they are all married, living with their children. We are the only ones in the family. Nobody. We see the disappointment in our parents’ face every day. We are begging you, if you come across the video, or you have a brother, you have an uncle that is ready to marry, we don’t mind. I don’t mind the tribe. We don’t mind the religion. We don’t mind whether you are in Nigeria or not.
We just want to settle down before our parents will leave without being happy because of us.
We are not perfect, but we know we are not living a bad life. I don’t know what the enemy have done. Please, continue what you’re seeing on this video. I’m tired of praying. I’m tired. If you have any brother that is looking for a wife, please. I’m interested. My sister.”
