For years, many Nigerians have wondered about the identity of the smiling female corper whose photo appeared on the official portal of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC). The mystery has now been solved.
The woman in the popular photo is Adetuke ‘Tuke’ Morgan. She served in Lagos State during the 2013 Batch C service year. While in orientation camp, she was an active member of the Brigade Band and belonged to Platoon 7.
Her photo was later featured on the NYSC portal, where it caught the attention of thousands of users. Over time, she became an unofficial “face” of the scheme, with many people curious to know who she was.
After completing her service year, Tuke Morgan built a career in the creative industry. She became a professional saxophonist, model, blogger through her platform Tuke’s Quest, photographer, and online media personality. She also leads a band that performs at weddings and special events across Nigeria.
Tuke later joined Nollywood and appeared in movies such as The Wives and Love In Every Word 2, where her band performed in a wedding scene.
Today, she is happily married and blessed with a son. Her journey from being a familiar face on a national portal to becoming a successful creative professional has inspired many Nigerians.
