The Village People Movement (VPM), a people-driven platform committed to civic awareness, youth inclusion, and national development, has intensified its call for greater participation of rural communities in Nigeria’s democratic process.
According to the Convener of the Movement, Dr. Frank Igbojindu, GMD Akpoazaa Group, the strength of Nigeria’s democracy lies in the active involvement of village youth — boys and girls — as well as men and women across rural communities.
“It is the village youth — boys and girls, men and women — that vote. Their voices matter. Their participation determines the future of our nation,” he stated.
Dr. Igbojindu emphasized that the movement is built on the belief that meaningful change begins at the grassroots level. He noted that rural communities remain a powerful force in shaping national leadership and public policy when properly mobilized and informed.
The Village People Movement promotes civic responsibility, accountability, and responsible leadership, while encouraging Nigerians from all backgrounds to participate constructively in nation-building.
“We can create the change we desire because A New Nigeria is POssible,” he added.
VPM continues to advocate for inclusive engagement, unity, and responsible citizenship as pathways to national transformation.
It’s POssible.
