Popular but controversial social media personality Amarachi Amusi, widely known as Ashmusy, has revealed that she has rededicated her life to God.
The influencer, who recently disappeared from social media for several days, sparked concern among fans and fellow content creators who were worried about her sudden absence.
In a heartfelt video posted on her Instagram page, Ashmusy admitted that she had been living as a lukewarm Christian and confessed that social media had taken over much of her focus and attention.
She explained that she has now made a conscious decision to prioritize her relationship with God, stressing that God remained faithful to her even during moments when she felt alone or disconnected.
Reflecting further, Ashmusy said that although she sometimes drifted away spiritually, God never abandoned her at any point.
The content creator also shared details about her former daily habits, revealing that she used to place both her Bible and her phone beside her bed, intending to read the Bible first each morning. However, she often found herself reaching for her phone and scrolling through social media instead a habit she says she has now left behind.
According to Ashmusy, the week-long break from social media was intentional and necessary, allowing her time to rest mentally and engage in deep self-reflection.
She expressed gratitude to everyone who checked in on her during the break and became emotional while thanking them for their concern and support.
Addressing conversations and speculation about her online, Ashmusy stated that public perception does not accurately reflect who she truly is. She noted that stepping away helped her distinguish her real self from the persona she presents on social media.
