A woman who claims to be the biological mother of popular social media personality Kolu has publicly accused him of neglect and abandonment, alleging that he has failed to support her despite his growing fame.
In an emotional video currently circulating online, the woman said she has been left behind in the village and has not seen Kolu in a long time.
Speaking in a mix of English and Pidgin, she expressed deep pain over what she described as her son’s failure to remember her after achieving recognition.
The woman recounted the hardship she endured during pregnancy and after giving birth, explaining that she struggled to raise Kolu under difficult conditions. According to her, she resisted pressure from people who advised her to abandon the child, insisting she believed he was destined for greatness.
She said her sacrifice makes his alleged neglect even more painful, as she expected to be cared for now that he is successful. In the viral clip, she emotionally appealed to Kolu, questioning why she has been left alone in the village despite everything she went through to raise him.
She said … “Na me be Kolu mother. Till now, I never see my son. I suffer for 9 months to carry you. You abandoned me for village for 9 months wey I carry you. People say I should throw way you, I no gree throway you because I know say you be blessing child. And I no remove you because you be blessing for me. Kolu you forget me for village, e good like that?”
