Nigerian rapper Mr Real has reversed his earlier criticism of D’banj and the singer’s CREAM (Creative Reality Entertainment Art & Music) platform, issuing a public apology.
D’banj had claimed during a November 2025 interview on The Micon Podcast that the CREAM platform was valued at $3 billion. Reacting at the time, Mr Real accused D’banj of merely “packaging” the platform and alleged that he was owed ₦20 million from an ambassadorial deal.
In a new video posted on Instagram on Monday, Mr Real admitted he misunderstood the situation and apologised for his comments. He described D’banj as a major influence in his career and expressed regret over the tone and public nature of his remarks. Mr Real said he has withdrawn his statements and will refrain from further public comments while efforts are made to resolve the issue amicably.
The apology followed reports that D’banj, through his legal team, had filed a petition against the rapper.
