The elder sister of late Afrobeat singer Destiny Boy has denied claims that their mother, Saidat Adeshina, cursed him before his death, describing the allegation as false and malicious.
Following the singer’s death, an old video resurfaced online in which Saidat was seen angrily scolding her son during a family disagreement, sparking outrage and claims that she caused his death through curses.
Reacting in a viral video, Destiny Boy’s sister defended their mother, insisting the clip only showed a heated argument between a mother and son. She dismissed claims of curses, money rituals, or intentional harm, asking critics if it was possible for a mother to kill her own child.
She accused bloggers and a TikToker of pushing a harmful narrative and urged the public to stop spreading unverified claims.
Meanwhile, the Ogun State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of a suspect in connection with Destiny Boy’s death, as investigations continue.
