The ancient town of Okija is once again set to witness a historic entertainment spectacle as Akpoazaa Group announces the second edition of its highly celebrated comedy and entertainment showcase, Okija Night of a Million Laff (Invasion 2.0).
Scheduled to hold on Friday, January 8, 2027, the event promises to be bigger, richer, and more impactful, building on the overwhelming success of its maiden edition, Invasion 1.0, which held on Sunday, January 8, 2024.
The first edition drew a massive crowd and featured an array of notable entertainers and comedians who thrilled the audience with rib-cracking performances. Among those who graced the stage were Woman Leader (Sir One on One), Ogbuefi I Go Tuk, Onye Obodo (Unku SP), Albino Brothers, Professor Onyegwu, Sooflashy, Wizlad, MC Buggy, and several others. The event was widely acclaimed as one of the biggest grassroots entertainment shows ever hosted in Okija.
Speaking on the upcoming edition, the organisers assured the public of an even more electrifying experience, noting that Invasion 2.0 will feature top-tier entertainers, improved production quality, and a renewed commitment to using entertainment as a tool for unity, youth engagement, and community development.
Night of a Million Laff is an entertainment platform founded and duly registered by Dr Frank Igbojindu (PhD), the Group Managing Director of Akpoazaa Group. According to him, the initiative was born out of a passion to bring quality entertainment to the grassroots while creating opportunities for talents to thrive.
“Entertainment remains a powerful force for social bonding and positive engagement. Night of a Million Laff is our way of giving back to the people and creating moments of joy that will be remembered for years,” Dr Igbojindu stated.
