Nollywood actress Regina Daniels and her UK-based brother, Sweezzy, have sparked rumors of a family rift after unfollowing each other on Instagram. This digital fallout comes during one of the most turbulent periods for the Daniels family, following Regina’s public separation from her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko.
Adding to the tension, Regina’s other brother, Sammy West, who was recently released on a ₦5 million bail, has also reportedly unfollowed Sweezzy.
The family friction appears deeply tied to the ongoing legal war between Regina and Senator Nwoko.
The Arrest: Sammy West was arrested in November 2025 following a petition filed by Ned Nwoko, accusing him of criminal conspiracy, trespass, assault, and cyberbullying.
The Allegations: Regina has claimed the arrest was a “power move” by the Senator to intimidate her during their marital dispute.
The Release: While Sweezzy and their mother, Rita Daniels, were vocal in celebrating Sammy’s release on November 10, the subsequent “unfollowing” suggests that internal disagreements may have surfaced regarding how the family is handling the crisis.
The split between the actress and the billionaire politician has turned increasingly bitter. Regina recently cried out over being separated from her two sons, Munir and Khalifa, alleging that Nwoko dismissed her staff to cut off her access.
“The last time I spoke to my kids was mid-November… Ned dismissed all my nannies, pressured them into making false statements accusing me of violence and alcohol abuse… and has since filed for full custody.”
In response, Senator Nwoko’s legal team released a statement claiming that a court ruling has granted him custody, citing Regina’s “emotional health” as a concern.
“The ruling was resolved in favour of Senator Ned Nwoko, with clear directions that Regina Daniels must undergo drug rehabilitation and be assessed by the Abuja Social Welfare Department before access can be restored.”
