Nigerian gospel singer and minister Dunsin Oyekan has issued a heartfelt spiritual advisory to Nigerians, especially the youth, urging them to avoid wasting the final days of the year on frivolous activities he referred to as “Oblee.”

Speaking during a recent ministration, Oyekan cautioned against the overindulgence in partying and reckless celebrations often linked to the festive Detty December period.

He warned that engaging in such activities during this sensitive time could have negative spiritual repercussions.

“Don’t waste the next few days of the year on oblee. Detty December, don’t go and dirty your December,” Oyekan stated.

The gospel singer described the year-end as a spiritually significant period, emphasizing that taking a “spiritual vacation” at this time could be harmful. He added, “You thought I don’t know what oblee is? Don’t go and oblee December and oblee your destiny.”

Oyekan further advised against distractions, reminding people not to compromise their destiny by focusing on the wrong pursuits. He explained that the end of the year should be a time for reflection, spiritual realignment, and preparation for what lies ahead.

According to him, this season offers an opportunity to receive divine guidance, strategic direction, and spiritual strength. He stressed the importance of staying close to God, noting that clarity and direction come from maintaining a connection with Him.

His message has since sparked discussions online, with many social media users weighing the balance between celebration and spiritual focus as the year comes to a close.
